Examinator Production
License Renewal process
As Galaxy software are available under an annual license contract, you should always place your order to renew it prior to its expiration date. If you fail to do so, your license and the software will stop working on the expiration date. To prevent this to happen, simply do the necessary to order your license in time! In all cases, and for convenience, Galaxy will send you an email reminder few weeks before the expiration.
License Reactivation
After receiving your PO, Galaxy will reactivate the license server database. An email with the license key details is then sent back to you (the new license ProductKeyID may differ from the one given to you the previous year).
For each station that will need to reactivate the software license, follow the steps:
Go to your Examinator Production application folder Stop the relevant applications (Examinator Production and/or the license server gex-lm) Delete the existing license file: gex_license.txt (if it exists)
If you want to install the latest release
then: Download the latest Examinator release from the Galaxy web site (login required, ask for it if you don't know it) Install following the standard installation procedure.
Otherwise, simply launch again the
software, you'll be prompted to enter the
license details and email the license request.
Evaluation License Reactivation
If your evaluation license expires and Galaxy sales grants you a new evaluation period, do the following:
Go to your Examinator Production application folder Delete the existing license file: gex_license.txt Start Examinator (PC version: click the 'Start' Button, then look in the Programs submenu for Galaxy Examinator Production), under Unix launch the shell command line gexdb Install following the standard installation procedure.
