and Galaxy Semiconductor today announced
that they have entered into a worldwide licensing
agreement for Galaxy's Examinator, a software package
for semiconductor test data analysis. Under the terms
of the agreement, Eagle's engineering team will use
Examinator for acceptance testing, characterization
and tester correlation studies. In addition, Eagle's
engineering team will utilize the software for the
characterization of new test system hardware.
Examinator(TM) is a software solution that enables
test and product engineers to perform
characterization, production monitoring, and yield
analysis studies from standard semiconductor data
files such as STDF. With just a single click
Examinator generates comprehensive reports, such as:
yield summary, Cp, Cpk, histograms, wafer maps, Pareto
diagrams, and gage R/R. In addition, Examinator
performs automatic guard-banding of test limits, and
lets engineers perform "what-if" experiments to
explore the impact of test program changes on yield
and repeatability.
"Eagle engineers assist customers characterizing
new test programs and correlating results to ensure
maximum yield and lowest cost of test," said Len
Foxman, CEO of Eagle. "We strive to ensure our
engineers have high quality tools to accomplish their
goals, and we believe Galaxy's Examinator software
offers Eagle a competitive data analysis product."
"Eagle and Galaxy are aligned for mutual success in
the analog, mixed signal, and RF device markets," said
Bertrand Renaud, COO of Galaxy Semiconductor. "We are
very pleased to extend our relationship with Eagle.
This further reinforces Examinator's position as the
defacto industry standard for desktop test data
analysis."
