Credence Standardizes on Galaxy Semiconductor Solutions for
Test Data Analysis on ASL Series |

WALTHAM, MA. -- December 1, 2005
Galaxy Semiconductor Solutions, a leading provider of desktop test data analysis software, today announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership and OEM agreement with Credence Systems Corporation (Nasdaq: CMOS), a leading provider of test solutions for the worldwide semiconductor industry. Under the terms of the agreement, Credence will include a special version of Galaxy's Examinator™-Characterization software as part of its Visual ATE software for all new ASL Series tester shipments. Credence's worldwide applications engineering team will use Examinator to provide customers with acceptance testing, characterization and tester correlation studies, accelerating release to production and hastening time to market.
Examinator is a software solution that enables test and product engineers to perform characterization, production monitoring, and yield analysis studies from standard semiconductor data files such as STDF. With a single click, Examinator generates comprehensive reports, such as yield summary, Cp, Cpk, histograms, wafer maps, Pareto diagrams, and gage R/R. Additionally, Examinator performs automatic guard-banding of test limits, and allows engineers to perform "what-if" experiments to explore the impact of program changes on yield and repeatability. The information that Examinator provides helps optimize test programs for maximum yield and throughput, thereby reducing test costs.
